Photography

Photography has become a great part of my life over the last few years, all because of a Polaroid Now I got for Christmas in 2021. The analogous nature of film, rendering beautiful images at the whim of chemistry has captivated me ever since. I still shoot digital every now and then, but it doesn’t quite give me the same sense of wonder I get from film.

Most of my shots are on 35mm film, done on the Olympus OM4 and OM20 with a 50mm Zuiko f/1.8 lens, but I’ve also enjoyed shooting in 120 on my Yashica Mat 124G. When shooting digital, I’ll use my Nikon Z5 with an adaptor for my vintage Olympus lenses.

All of my B&W has also been developed by myself at home. My preferred developers have been Rodinal and Ilford DD-X, the former mostly due to its crisp acutance, and the latter due to its wonderful tonal range.

Below you’ll see my library of images hosted on Flickr. These are of various landscapes, buildings, and people I’ve had a great time with.
